Join us on First Friday for a People’s Pride celebration - we’re selling emapandas on the street, hosting an art exhibit downstairs, and throwing a party upstairs with DJ Amos, DJ Scotty, and the Mayday Brass Band.
People’s Pride is a space that we’ve had to carve out for ourselves. It’s a space that is explicitly pro-black, pro-trans, and intergenerational. We’ve had to work tirelessly to create a space that centers and celebrates our joy, our liberation, and our bodies. At our art exhibit, we’re doing the same.
At the art exhibit, on the walls of the first floor - we’ll be hanging up parts of Queer History/Art in Pittsburgh that we’ve found. We’ll also be highlighting current artists and their work as they vend, promote, and share their vision with you. The point is to have this space be a place where we carve out for ourselves. A space where we’re centering art, humanity, and joy. Artist lineup coming soon!
Upstairs is the dance party, bar, and live music. And outside we’re selling homemade empanadas.
All money raised will go towards creating protest art for People’s Pride 2019.
The 2019 Allocation Plan needs to pass through City Council.
Thanks to our collective work with Pittsburgh UNITED, a community-informed 2019 Housing Opportunity Fund Allocation Plan was introduced at City Council on Monday, 5/20.
We need everyone to come down, bring signs, testify to how important having a Housing Opportunity fund -that serves our most marginalized resident, has community control, and impacts lives CItywide- is.
On Wednesday May 29th at 10 am the 2019 Allocation Plan will be voted on at Standing Committee Meeting
We want to pack the room and let them know this is important to US!
Join us as we doorknock in Pittsburgh letting our communities know about Peoples Pride 2k19 - Pride Of The Ages and our announcement of Queen Diva, Big Freedia visit to Pittsburgh, Sunday, June 9th, 2019 ♥

We are looking for volunteers to help us spread the word even further and get the people out with engagement in order to spread the education of why People's Pride is our Pride while directly accessing our Queer and trans communities and allies who have not felt welcomed during Pittsburgh Pride.
Join us as we prepare our most vulnerable communities with the tools and training too defend themselves. Our transgender and non-binary communities are being targeted and murdered by the hands of transphobic people and we must insure they are equip with the skills to properly protect there lives.

Stand up to Delta Foundation. Black Trans folks deserve better than corporate greed, further marginalization, and tokenizing. We can fight this fight with dignity and respect!
We Come together in solidarity too not only lift our sexually assaulted, murdered, erased, raped and forgotten transwomen of color in Pittsburgh currently housed in Allegheny County Jail up but also our transwomen around the country suffering from the heinous and blatant transphobic attacks protected within the justice system! #MeToo#BlackTransLivesMatterPGH #TrustBlackTransWomen
