Info: Police found Reecey's body inside the apartment after answering a call to investigate a reported disturbance. She had been stabbed multiple times.

A 16 year old boy was arrested on charges of second degree murder.

Keyonna Blakeley

Info: Keyonna was stabbed to death by Keith C. Renier in her room at the Red Roof Inn in Rockville. In August 2017 he was sentenced to 30 years in prison for her murder.

Shante Thompson

Age: 34

Location: Houston, TX
Info: Shante and her friend Willie Sims were talking with each other when a group of men approached them and started to beat them with crowbars or tire irons.

After beating them, they were shot and left lying where they fell on the ground. Both died at the scene.

Late the same month Tariq Lackings, 23, was charged with capital murder in connection with the crime.

Kedarie/Kandicee Johnson

Info: Kedarie/Kandicee was a teenager who used two names and identified as transgender and genderfluid.

Their body was found with a plastic garbage bag wrapped around their head and multiple gunshot wounds in an alley at around 11:30pm on 2nd March.

Demarkis Stansberry

Info: Demarkis was shot in the head by 24-year-old Nicholas Matthews inside Matthews’ home at about 11:30am on Saturday 27th February. He died at the scene.

Matthews turned himself in to local police on the day of the shooting and confessed to the killing.

Matthews originally told the police that he shot Stansberry by accident under the belief that his gun was empty after removing the clip on New Year’s Eve. However, local reports claim that Stansberry was shot at point-blank range with the shooter standing at his side.

He was charged with negligent homicide, illegal use of a weapon, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Maya Young

Info: Maya was found on the street suffering from multiple stab wounds to her neck and chest. She died in hospital shortly after midnight.

Tiffany E. Floyd, 25, and Jose Pena, 19, were arrested for her murder. Floyd was sentenced to 8-20 years in jail plus 10 years of probation for third-degree murder. Pena was sentanced to 40-80 years for the first-degree murder of Maya and the unrelated murder of Jonathan Martel. Both had stabbed Maya, but it was the second stabbing by Pena which ultimately killed her.

Info: Veronica's body was found in a hotel room by police. She was lying in a bathtub of water fully clothed. Her body showed no obvious signs of trauma.

Jasmine Sierra

Info: Jasmine's body was found by police on 22nd January in an apartment on the 1000 block of Monterey Street.

Her body showed signs of trauma and foul play is suspected. Whether the police found the body in Sierra's home or a neighbor's house is not known.

Her friends said they had no idea she was killed until weeks later because her birth name was published in the media.
