Police have suggested Brandi was killed by someone after they realized she was a transgender woman.

Brooklyn BreYanna Stevenson

Info: Brooklyn was found dead in a motel room after Oklahoma City police responded to reports of a disturbance.

On 21st December 2017, white supremacist Brandon Michael Tyson, 31, was arrested and charged with her murder.

Tyson was convicted in February 2019 and imprisoned for life in April 2019.

Stephanie Montez

Location: Corpus Christi, TX
Info: Stephanie was shot in the chest, abdomen, and shoulder in a premeditated attack over the alleged theft of $20. She was found dying on the porch of a home between Corpus Christi and Robstown.

Four people (Jace Montange, Cedric Green, Randy Dorsey and Chloe Huehlefeld) were charged in connection with her murder.

Huehlefeld was sentenced to 55 years in prison. Green was sentenced to 55 years for murder and 65 years for engaging in organized criminal activity. Dorsey accepted a plea deal in the case for 10 years of probation. If he violates his parole conditions, he could have to serve a 10-year prison term. Montange - the final defendant - was convicted in April 2019 and waits sentencing.

Info: Derricka was found dead in a vehicle during the wind and rain associated with Tropical Storm Irma. Montavious Sanchez Berry, 18, has been arrested and charged with murder.

Kiwi Herring

Info: Kiwi was shot 7 times by police in her home in front of her children. Friends and family dispute a report by the police claiming that Kiwi pulled a knife on them when they arrived near her home to answer calls about a domestic dispute.

She leaves behind a spouse and three children.

TeeTee Dangerfield

Info: TeeTee was found shot inside her vehicle and taken to nearby Grady Memorial Hospital where she died of her injuries.

Ebony Morgan

Age: 28
Date: 7/2/2017
Location: Lynchburg, VA
Info: Ebony was shot multiple times at home. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Though they are aware she was a transgender woman, authorities referred to Morgan by her dead name because she had not legally changed her name, according to the News & Advance. Police say prosecutors also are aware of Morgan’s gender identity and are investigating the homicide as a possible hate crime.

Ava Le'Ray Barrin

Info: Ava was shot in the chest after an argument with an acquaintance in the parking lot of a residential complex. Her killer was arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault.

Imer Eliu Alvarado

Age: 34
Date: 5/17/2017
Location: Fresno, OH
Info: Imer was shot and killed in an alley while dressed in female clothing. Some friends identified Imer as gay, and others as trans.

On 2nd July 2018 Derrick Jordan Garcia, 25, turned himself in to authorities and was arrested for the crime.

Sherrell Faulkner

Info: Sherrell died at Carolinas Medical Center as a result of an attack on 30th November 2016 when she was beaten and left beside a trash bin.
