Info: Kiki was reportedly shot shortly after 4:30 a.m. Wednesday in an area not far from her home. She died in hospital. Subsequently William Watson, 17, was arrested after being identified by a witness as the person who shot her.

Her boyfriend Joshua Dominic Bourgeois, 25, was arrested.

Bubba Walker

Info: Bubba Walker's body was found after a fire in an abandoned house on 27th July. She had been reported as missing but was not identified until 3rd September.

The cause of the fire is unknown. In September 2019 a murder investigation was launched into her death.

Info: Denali's body was found with gunshot wounds by the side of the road at 4am on Saturday 20th July. On 10th August 2019 a warrant was issued for the arrest of Dominick Achield, 34.

Info: Brooklyn's body was found on the porch of an abandoned home. In July 2019 Marcus Lewis, 41, was charged with her murder.

Zoe Spears

Age: 23
Date: 6/13/2019
Location: Fairmount Heights, MD
Info: Zoe was found lying in the street (not far from where Ashanti Carmon had been murdered in March) by police responding to an emergency call. She died at the scene. In July 2019 Gerardo Thomas, 33, of Baltimore, was arrested in Cecil County and charged with first-degree murder.

Layleen Cubilette Polanco Xtravaganza

Location: Rikers Island, NY
Info: Layleen was found dead in a jail cell in the Rose M. Singer women's facility on Rikers Island on the afternoon of Friday 7th June. Layleen had been incarcerated for a month on a misdemeanour charge, and was due to be released on 13th June. At the time of her death she was being held in solitary confinement. Layleen was a member of the House of Xtravaganza, a preeminent group on the city’s ballroom scene.

Info: Chanel was found just after midnight by Robeson County Sheriff’s Office deputies who arrived after reports of gunfire in the area. She had been shot.

Chynal Lindsey

Location: Dallas, TX
Info: Chynal's body was found after someone called the police to report a body in White Rock Lake. Police reported that her body showed “obvious signs of homicidal violence”.

In August 2019 Rubén Alvarado, 22, was charged with her murder.

Johana Medina León ("Joa")

Info: Joa was a detained Salvadorian asylum seeker. She had been asking for medical help for nearly 2 months, but ICE only took her to hospital after she lost consciousness.

Titi Gulley

Age: 31

Location: Portand, OR
Info: Titi was found hanging from a tree in a park. The coroner ruled her death a suicide, but her family and friends believe she was murdered.

According to the Portland Mercury, Titi was genderfluid: her family knew her as a cisgender gay man named Otis who sometimes dressed in drag - but among friends, Gulley typically presented as a woman, used she/her pronouns, and went by the name Titi.

As she is now deceased, we obviously can’t ask her which pronouns we should use. With the exception of quotes from family members, this page uses her female name and pronouns because that is how she usually presented publicly.

Paris Cameron

Info: Paris was one of three people - the others being two gay men - shot at around 5am on Saturday 25th May. Prosecutors allege that the victims were targetted because they were LGBTQ.

Davon Robinson, 18, has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder.
